Plymouth FC - U11 Archive 1

FALL 2012 SEASON

Plymouth FC U11's 3 - 4 Crush

Plymouth FC once again played some fantastic football, but they will come away from the game not really sure how they did not take all three points.

Although the results have not gone their way, Plymouth FC can hold their heads very high this season knowing that they played the game in the manner the game is supposed to be played.

Plymouth FC U11's 2 - 2 Synergy

Although Plymouth FC pressed for the winning goal over the final minutes of the game, they will ultimately come away from the game believing that a draw was a fair result.

Synergy came out firing on all cylinders in the opening 15 minutes of the encounter, and although they found themselves trailing 1-0, they were ultimately able to press home their advantage and claim a deserved 2-1 lead going into the interval.

Plymouth FC started the second half in the same manner in which they finished the first, and started to gain control of the game. Midway through the second half Plymouth FC scored the equalizing goal that thoroughly deserved, and although they had a couple of very good chances over the final 10 minutes, they were unable to snatch the three points they desperately needed.

Plymouth FC U11's 3 - 5 Wasatch SC

Once again only playing with 8 players, Plymouth FC put on a passing clinic in the opening half, but ultimately left Kaysville empty handed.

Plymouth FC played some exceptional football in the first half, but were only able to convert two of a handful of chances they created. Conversely, Plymouth FC limited Wasatch SC to only two shots on goal in the opening 30 minutes, of which they took full advantage.

Plymouth FC understandably tired in the second half, and conceded three soft goals before adding a consolation goal in the final minutes of the game.

Regardless of where Plymouth FC finish in the league standings, they can hold their heads high in regards to the manner in which they played the game this season. Even though it may not have always played out as pictured, Plymouth FC always attempted to pass the ball, and they played the game of football the way that it is suppose to be played!

Plymouth FC U11's 0 - 2 Chaos

Plymouth FC, playing with only eight girls, fought tooth and nail against an athletic Chaos team, but came up short once again. As has been the case all season, although Plymouth FC technically played the superior football, they are just not quite ready to compete against the physical kick and rush style of football.

Plymouth FC U11's 2 - 7 La Roca South Premier

Although La Roca deserved all three points, anyone who was in attendance would argue that the scoreline did not truly reflect the game.

Plymouth FC fought tooth and nail, whilst still attempting to play football in the first half against an undefeated La Roca team, and deservedly were only trailing 2-1 at the interval. The second half saw a visibly tiring Plymouth team unable to contain the physically superior La Roca team, and conceded a handful of soft goals over the closing stages of the game.

Plymouth FC can hold their heads high in this game in regards to both the manner in which they competed physically with La Roca during the first 40 minutes of the game, and the fact that they continued to attempt to play football. One day football will prevail over athleticism....just not today!

Plymouth FC U11's 3 - 4 Firebirds FC

For the second time this season Plymouth FC threw away a 3-1 lead, and lost to a team that quite simply wanted it more.

Plymouth FC U11's 4 - 0 Arsenal AC

Plymouth FC secured their first victory of the season after winning a very scrappy affair against a resilient Arsenal team.

Plymouth FC U11's 1 - 1 Arsenal AP

Another thoroughly entertaining game between two teams that have been competing toe to toe since 2010.

Although Arsenal finished the game strongly, Plymouth FC will come away from the encounter believing that the three points were theirs for the taking. Plymouth FC controlled the opening 30 minutes, whilst putting on a passing clinic for those in attendance, but were unable to score the opening goal that they thoroughly deserved.

The second half was a more balanced affair, with  both teams playing some attractive football. However, just shy of midway through the second half Plymouth FC finally were able to put the ball in the back of the net, and looked on course to claim a deserved victory. To Arsenals' credit, they never quit and were able to claim an equalizing goal with around ten minutes left on the clock. Although both teams searched for the winning goal, for not the first time they both had to settle for a share of the points.

Plymouth FC 2 - 2 Park City

Plymouth FC will come away from Park City feeling hard done by after only collecting a spoil of the points.

The fantastic playing conditions suited Plymouth FC's passing game to a tee, who moved the ball around well for long periods of the game. After controlling possession for the majority of the opening 30 minutes, Plymouth FC took a deserved 1-0 lead into the interval.

A more direct approach from Park City in the second half resulted in two early goals. However, Plymouth FC continued to play their game, and where rewarded with an equalizing goal with around 10 minutes to go. Although Plymouth FC pressed for the winning goal, Park City hung on for a point.

Plymouth FC U11's 3 - 5 Forza

Plymouth FC threw away a 3 - 1 lead against a Forza team that never gave up, and came away from the contest with a thoroughly deserved three points.

Within the first 15 - 20 mins Plymouth FC had raced into a  3 - 1 lead, and looked on course to claim their first victory of the season. However, Forza's second goal just before half time seemed to take the wind out of Plymouth's sail.

The second half saw a Forza team that clearly wanted it more, and as a result, were able to score 3 second half goals.

Plymouth FC U11's 2 -5 Avalanche Black

Plymouth FC lost an entertaining game against an Avalanche team that was simply too strong and too fast.

Although Plymouth FC took an early lead, for the majority of the first half  they were second to every ball, and went in at half time trailing 3-2. The second half saw a much improved display with Plymouth FC desperately searching for the equalizing goal. However, with less than 7 minutes on the clock, Avalanche were able to snatch two late goals and took a deserved 5-2 victory.
